"Seedling Prayer" Contest Results

Congratulations, Christine Trollinger!

Christine's entry, entitled "The Park Bench," will be featured in the July/August issue of Canticle. In this story, Christine shares about her devotion to Venerable Father Solanus Casey.

On behalf of all of us at the magazine, I would like to thank those of you who participated in our first writer's contest. We had about a dozen entries to choose from ... and after last week, it was such a pleasure to sit and read about the "prayer seeds" in your lives that are producing such a ripe harvest of faith, hope and love!

Heidi,

You left a comment last month at catholic-converts.blogspot.com. Would you be interested in being added to our blogroll?

Hey, congratulations, Mags!! I should have known you had a submission lol. That it focuses on your favorite friend is no surprise.

Heidi, I commend your very good taste in selecting Chris, aka Maggie to me. The good padre has been a mainstay in her life and she has many stories about Father Solanus, his musical abilities, and particularly his intercession for people who have had cancer. If you and the magazine ever choose to dedicate an issue or a portion of an issue to cancer, I have no doubt quite a few of us would step up to the plate and write and write and write. God knows Chris knows how true that is.
Congrats again. You assuredly chose wisely!
